Comparing Bath Products

Not all soaps are alike. When you walk into your local grocery store and buy bar soaps for yourself of your family, you would expect that you are in fact actually buying "soap". In reality, you are wrong.

Real soap is created with any type of fat (animal, vegetable etc) combined with a liquid mixed with "LYE" aka, sodium hydroxide. When you combine these ingredients, a chemical reaction occurs called saponification. During this process two things are created, soap to clean your skin and glycerin to moisturize it. Once complete you have a natural, glycerin rich bar of soap that has amazing benefits to your skin.

So how is this different from what you buy at the store? The answer is lots... It was back during WW2 where commercial soap makers has to start creating soaps without using animal or vegetable fats. Instead they started using petroleum and chemical bases. On top of that they actually started extracting the glycerin from the soaps. Glycerin is very valuable in commercial shampoos, lotions, and moisturizers for the same reason you don't really need to buy them, they are fakes. These "moisturizing" products need the glycerin taken from their "soaps" to make them useful to your skin and hair. So not only are the soaps you buy at the store made with unnatural chemicals, they contain little or no glycerin. Basically they are a big brick of skin dying sodium. After using these bars, your skin will be so dried out you will need to go back to the store and buy a moisturizer that contains the same glycerin they stole from you in the first place.
