Located in Kalamazoo Michigan, The "Handmade Soap Bar" is run by a small group of soap crafters. We specialize in custom handmade soaps. We make our soap the old fashioned way, combining natural oils, essential oils, herbs, and fragrances with lye and pure H2O. We make our soap from start to finish hand cutting and packaging each bar.

How we make our soap

We mainly create our handmade soap with the very traditional method called cold process. Cold process is a method combining fats, lye, water, colorants, essential oils, and/or fragrances. Cold process soaps, once created, can take 2-6 weeks to cure. We also sometimes use a method called "hot process" where were cook the soap before we form it into soap bars.
